Rotation tool

Make a rotation for an element or a selected group.

  • Select an element or a group with the arrow tool.
  • Select the rotation tool.
  • Activate the left button of the mouse and keep your finger on it and move the mouse : the outline of the element do a rotation.
  • Release the left button of the mouse when the rotation is suitable.
Modify a rotation on a group :
  • Select the graphic element with the arrow tool.
  • Select the rotation tool.
  • The rotation’s center appear under a cross form. You can move this center.
  • Proceed as below to change the rotation. The new rotation is made around the new center if you have changed his position.
To delete a rotation on a group :
  • Place the cursor of the mouse on the rotation’s center (the shape of the cursor is changing), push the Del key : the element reappear without any rotation.
Or
  • Click on the right button of the mouse.
  • Select Delete “déformation”.
Note :
  • Keeping your finger on the Ctrl key during the rotation, we duplicate in a rosace object.
  • Keeping your finger on the Shift key during the rotation, the rotation is done by a step of 15° (can be applied with the Ctrl key).
  • The rotation is done in real time, we can see the element turning during the handling. But an exception remains for the arcs and the ellipses or the path ways composed by type of arc of ellipse dots (realised the arc tool). In this case, it is not possible to recover the way’s dots and you have to delete the rotation to modify this dots or insert new one.
  • For a best results, use preferably the Spline tool to draw arcs, circles or ellipses if you have to put them through a rotation.
